The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.

Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.

What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.

Today’s team: Glenpool Warriors

Classification: 5A

2025 Spring Results: 15-19

Head Coach: Josh Allman

Head coaching experience: 1st year

Top Returners

  • Peyton Surrett C/UTL–> Surrett caught every inning last season. This season he’s expected to be more of a vocal leader who’s experience will be important throughout this season. He’s going to hit near the top of the lineup for us and be a catalyst for our offense. He will also get some innings on the mound and get some time in different infield spots.
  • Mason Romero P/OF–> Mason will be a district arm for us and has looked really good off the mound in live ABs so far. When he’s not pitching he will control CF for us. He gets greats reads off the bat and tracks the ball really well.
  • Raedyn Holland INF/P–> Raedyn is an up and coming infielder. He got some time defensively last season, but will be a full-time guy for us this season. His confidence is growing throughout the fall and winter.

Top Newcomers

  • N/A

Overall Team Strengths

We will be VERY young throughout the 2026 season, we only have one senior. While we only have one freshman, we do have a strong Sophomore and Junior class that we will be able to build around over the next few seasons. The guys have had a lot of changes thrown at them throughout the fall and winter, so we expect some learning pains this season. However, we do expect to build off of the pains and gain valuable experience.

Overall Team Needs to Work On

While are youth is a strength, it is also going to be something that we will need to build through this season. We will be focusing on building depth and experience this year, so we expect to have most of our roster getting PT throughout this spring.

Outlook

We will be a year or two away from becoming serious contenders at the district level. Youth and inexperience will be an issue throughout the season, but I think we’ve got the guys who are willing to take those lumps and learn from them.
