One of the coolest events of the collegiate season happens at the NAIA level. The Cajun Collision is back for another season this weekend in Sterlington, LA and two Oklahoma programs are making the trip.

Both MACU and USAO are heading to the Pelican State to play 4 games against some of the top programs from across the country. The event is hosted by the #1 team in the country, LSU-Shreveport, who is riding a 65 game winning streak and are. the defending NAIA national champions.

MACU Evangels

Going into the 6th season of the Brett Stanton era, the Evangels have become of the top programs in the nation. A consistent top 20 program, MACU has a lot of new faces in 2026, but should have a deep pitching staff.

The Evangels have played only 2 games so far this season due to weather cancellations – both losses to Louisiana Christian on the road 2 weeks ago.

MACU is ranked #19 in the NAIA poll. For a preview of their season, click here.

Opponents: Park (MO), #1 LSU-Shreveport, #12 Missouri Baptist, Central Baptist

Park (MO)

Park has not played a game yet this season. The Pirates went 24-20 in 2025 including a 12-7 loss to MACU in the Cajun Collision

#1 LSU-Shreveport

As stated above, the Pilots are the class of the NAIA at this point. They went undefeated in 2025 winning a national championship and have started 2026 with 6 straight wins. Four of those wins were a sweep of #4 Hope International.

LSU-Shreveport went 2-0 against MACU in 2025 beating them in the Cajun Collision and in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round finals.

Missouri Baptist has not played a game in 2026. The Spartans went 42-11 in 2025 making the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round. They enter the season ranked #12 in the NAIA Poll.

Central Baptist

USAO Drovers

USAO has had terrible luck with the weather this season having their series vs Our Lady of the Lake and Friends both cancelled.

While USAO was not ranked in the preseason poll, they did receive votes. For a preview of the Drovers, click here.
