The calendar has turned to the a new year and that means the OSSAA high school baseball season will be here soon. Classes A1, A2, and B officially get started February 23 while the rest of the classes begin March 2.
Up until that the beginning of the season, SSBR will be providing previews of as many teams as we can. Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the high school coaches across the state of Oklahoma asking for their top returning players, top newcomers, overall strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment where their respective programs are coming into the 2026 season.
What you have below are the responses to those questions in the words of the coaches themselves.
Today’s team: Piedmont Wildcats
Classification: 6A
2025 Results: 29-14 (State semifinalist)
Head Coach: Adam Skokowski
Head coaching experience: 12th year (8th at Piedmont)
Top Returners
- Drake May (2026) – Hutchinson Community College Commit
- 2025 Hitting Stats = .297 AVG, .455 OBP, 6 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 21 RBI, 28 R, 11 SB
- 2025 Pitching Stats = 55 IP, 5-4 W/L, 2.55 ERA, 49 SO, 28 BB, 1.42 WHIP
- 2025 Fielding Stats = 124 TC, 69 A, 45 PO, 10 E, .919 F%
- Drake was our #2 and starting SS last year. This year he will be our ace and start again at SS. Drake has topped 93 MPH this fall off the mound. He is an athletic specimen who has the strongest arm on our team, is one of the fastest runners, and has some of the most pop on the team.
- Zane Pruitt (2026) – Southern Nazarene University Signee
- 2025 Hitting Stats = .361 AVG, .467 OBP, 3 2B, 26 RBI, 32 R, 17 SB
- 2025 Defensive Stats = 61 TC, 3 A, 55 PO, 3 E, .951 F%
- Zane started in CF and hit towards the top of our lineup. He is a speedy OF who can go get in OF and does what is necessary to win. Last year Zane led our team in HBP, SACs, bunt singles, and RBI’s.
- Jack Guinn (2026) – Eastern Oklahoma State College Signee
- 2025 Hitting Stats = .383 AVG, .476 OBP, 11 2B, 5 3B, 1 HR, 25 RBI, 24 R, 9 SB
- Jack is a powerful OF/DH/RHP that will start in the OF and at DH throughout 2026. Jack led our team in XBH last year and is someone people don’t want to see come to the plate. He will also have a chance to factor into the rotation running his FB up to the mid-upper 80’s.
- Reid Smith (2026)- Eastern Oklahoma State College Signee
- 2025 Hitting Stats = .330 AVG, .478 OBP, 4 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR, 23 RBI, 22 R, 9 SB
- 2025 Fielding Stats = 241 TC, 20 A, 220 PO, 1 E, .996 F%, 211 Inn Caught, 7 PB, 12 CS, 24% CS%
- Reid is a 4 year starter for our program, spending time as a DH as a freshmen and starting the next 3 years at C. He is our field general and does a great job taking care of what is going on on the field.
- Jarrett Isennock (2026)- Southern Nazarene University Signee
- 2025 Hitting Stats = .320 AVG, .471 OBP, 4 2B, 5 3B, 20 RBI, 23 R
- 2025 Fielding Stats = 235 TC, 20 A, 207 PO, 8 E, .966 F%, 62 2/3 Inn Caught, 3 PB, 5 CS, 27% CS%
- Jarret Isennock is a C by nature but was a quick study at 1B last year in order to be in the lineup everyday. He is what I call a professional hitter. He doesn’t get fooled by much and never gives up at bats.
- Ethan Burns (2026)- Uncommitted
- 2025 Hitting Stats – .333 AVG, .448 OBP, 3 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 15 RBI, 19 R, 9 SB
- 2025 Fielding Stats – 22 TC, 1 A, 21 PO, 1.000 F%
- Ethan is a superior athlete that competes with a passion most can’t match. He fought his way into the starting lineup midway through last year, didn’t relinquish it after, and became a vital piece to a state semi-finalist team. He will start in RF again this year and hit in the meat of the order.
- Clayton Harrington (2026)- Northern Oklahoma College – Tonkawa Signee
- 2025 Hitting Stats – .276 AVG, .380 OBP, 6 2B, 1 3B, 23 RBI, 22 R, 12 SB
- 2025 Fielding Stats – 90 TC, 53 A, 31 PO, 6 E, .933 F%
- Clayton is a 4 year varsity member earning time as a P as a freshman and then starting in the IF for 3 years. He played great defensively at 3B last year and was huge in some big games for us offensively.
- Blaine Hollingshead (2028)- Uncommitted
- 2025 Hitting Stats – .322 AVG, .434 OBP, 5 2B, 1 3B, 18 RBI, 34 R, 18 SB
- 2025 Fielding Stats – 33 TC, 30 PO, 3 E, .909 F%
- Blaine really shined in his freshman year. We didn’t know what we would get from him and ended up starting from day one and staying in that job for the whole year. He accepted the challenge of starting at the 6A level as a freshman and excelled in it. He will start in LF this year and with added power could see his offensive side take the next step.
- Pryce McClure (2027)- Uncommitted
- 2025 Hitting Stats – .268 AVG, .402 OBP, 5 2B, 19 RBI, 23 R, 7 SB
- 2025 Pitching Stats – 32 IP, 2-1 W/L, 1 S, 3.28 ERA, 35 SO, 25 BB, 1.56 WHIP
- 2025 Fielding Stats – 144 TC, 73 A, 52 PO, 19 E, .868 F%
- Pryce McClure started at 2B last year and was one of our top arms out of the pen during district games last year. This year he will look to start at 2B while battling for our #2 job. He sits in the mid 80’s while touching upper 80’s on the mound. Pryce is an ultimate competitor with advanced knowledge of the game.
- Tatym Stahlman (2027) – Uncommitted
- 2025 Hitting Stats – .300 AVG, .462 OBP,
- 2025 Defensive Stats – 63 TC, 29 A, 28 PO, 6 E, .905 F%
- Tatym is a 3 sport athlete that was mostly a situational defender last year. He stepped up when some players cooled down and ended up starting the last 5 games of the season last year. During those lose or go home games, he hit .600 and was an absolute spark plug for our team. He will thrive in an increased role this year.
- Tucker Kipf (2027) – Uncommitted
- 2025 Pitching Stats – 35 2/3 IP, 7-2 W/L, 1 S, 3.14 ERA, 35 SO, 12 BB, 1.21 WHIP
- Tucker has 2 years of 30+ innings under his belt going into his junior year. Don’t let his small frame fool you. He sits 80-82 and can spot 3 pitches for a strike, leading our team in S% last year with a 62.59 S%. Tucker is also one of the best defensive pitchers I have come across in my 20+ years of coaching.

Overall Team Strengths
Our team strengths are our depth and experience. Most of our starters have 3-4 years experience at the varsity level and have been a part of 2 District Championships, 2 Regional Championships, and a 6A State Semifinals finish. We are primed and ready to make run.
Overall Team Needs to Work On
It is more of make sure we don’t let complacency creep in. We need to make sure we don’t think we will automatically be in the same spot or better as last year just because we had a good year last year. We need to make sure we put in the work necessary to achieve our goals.
Outlook
I’m really excited about this team. They are a great group to be around. Even though our team lost last year 3-2 in the semifinals, I couldn’t be sad or angry because the journey together was so fun. I just look forward to one more journey with this group.
