The Wolves had a Spring that every school dreams of… they came out of 2025 as 6A State Champions. They went 36-7 with a 13-1 District play record. After talking with Coach Webb, he had great things to say about these two guys…
Brady Morgeson (IF), 2026 – Blinn College Commit
Coach Webb’s Thoughts:
Brady Morgeson, a senior, is one of the most if not the most impressive young men I have had the privilege to coach. He’s a phenomenal player (hit the big 3 run home run for us in the finals), but (I know coaches say this all the time) he’s a better person. He leads the team in a Bible study, he volunteers at homeless shelters, he leads by example, he approaches every player in our program with love and guidance.
Brady’s Interview:
- Tell me about yourself on and off the field. -> “On the field, I like to see myself as an elite competitor and a tough out, but more importantly, just a servant teammate when I can be. Off the field, I try to take the same approach, just working hard and serving anyone I can with the love of Christ.”
- How do you feel heading into this season compared to last year? -> “Heading into this year I feel excitement and anticipation; exactly how I’ve felt in years past. Deeper than just the place this team is at, the program itself is in a great place, and that’s a sign that we are going to compete regardless of who’s in the other dugout. I’m excited to see what it looks like.”
- What personal goals have you set for yourself? -> “Some personal goals I have set for myself are all centered around the kind of person I can be this year. I know the game is going to flow, so I trust more in my work ethic than anything. But, something I know I can control is the teammate I am and the leader I carry myself as. So, Lord willing, I have set goals to lead in love this year.”
- What does a successful season look like to you? -> “A successful season, to me, looks like glory brought to Jesus name. He’s been working through these guys in amazing ways, and we understand the record and accomplishments will handle themselves if we stay the course.”
- What’s the biggest challenge you expect this season? -> “I honestly couldn’t tell you what challenges I expect this season, but I know we’re going to be challenged. I’m more excited to see how we handle them. This group has been training overcoming adversity all fall & winter, so I’m ready to see if it transfers over into the season.”
- What do you want to be remembered for as a player at Santa Fe? -> “I want to be remembered as a follower of Jesus and a leader in faith. What we they say about me on the field is opinion, and many people’s opinion of my game has been skewed. But something no one can deny is faith, so that is what I hope to be remembered for.”
Cole Britton (OF), 2026
Coach Webb’s Thoughts:
“Cole didn’t get to play his junior year because of a torn non throwing labrum. He was going to be a force for us last year in the middle of our lineup. Most players when this happens kinda pout around and feel sorry for himself. Cole never did that instead he led our dugout and our dugout was a huge reason for our success. He is loved by his teammates and coaches.”
Cole’s Interview:
- Tell me about yourself on and off the field. -> “On the field i see myself as a leader by example and off the field i see myself as a friendly person who likes to have fun.”
- How do you feel heading into this season compared to last year? -> “I feel excited because this year we have something to prove instead of last year we had insane expectations and it felt timid early.”
- What personal goals have you set for yourself? -> “The goals i have set for myself are mainly about my mindset, Trying to stay calm after things don’t go right.”
- What does a successful season look like to you? -> “A successful season to me looks likes completing our small team goals and ultimately completing the big goal of winning a state championship.”
- What’s the biggest challenge you expect this season? -> “The biggest challenge this year is to try and get our team chemistry as high as possible, As this year we have many new players who will have big roles.”
- What do you want to be remembered for as a player at Santa Fe? -> “At Santa Fe i want to be remembered as a great teammate because being a good baseball player but not a good person will not get you where you want to go.”
