The Summer break is almost over and schools in Oklahoma will begin the 2025-2026 school soon. That also means that it is almost time for the 2025 High School Fall season to start.
The season officially opens on Monday, August 11 (or sooner if both schools are already in session). For the next few weeks, we will be previewing several teams as they look forward to the season.
Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the head coaches of the schools playing baseball this Fall. We asked about their returning players, top players, strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment of where their teams are and could be.

Outlook
Riverside is a unique school as it is has students from over 75 Native American tribes across the U.S. attend the school. According to head coach, TD Thrash, it’s to know for “sure who will show up in the Fall.”
Having said that, the Braves hope to build on what they did in ’24-’25. Riverside had winning records in both seasons including a 24-5 mark in the Spring finishing just one step away from the state tournament.
What the Braves do have returning are their 4 top arms from last year. Coach Thrash hopes they can “lean on (those) guys with experience on the mound this year.”
What the Braves need to work on according to Thrash is “consistency and not putting too much pressure on themselves in big spots.” According to Thrash, those areas hurt Riverside in the postseason last Spring.
Thrash also says, “the kids we have stepping in to fill last year’s seniors are more than capable of playing good baseball. I’d love to be able to keep getting better, continue to build on the success of last year, and make a good showing at Regionals.
