The Summer break is almost over and schools in Oklahoma will begin the 2025-2026 school soon. That also means that it is almost time for the 2025 High School Fall season to start.
The season officially opens on Monday, August 11 (or sooner if both schools are already in session). For the next few weeks, we will be previewing several teams as they look forward to the season.
Recently, SSBR sent out questionnaires to the head coaches of the schools playing baseball this Fall. We asked about their returning players, top players, strengths/weaknesses, and their overall assessment of where their teams are and could be.

Outlook
Kevin Rodden has done an amazing job at Oktaha over his 13 years. The Tigers are a perennial power in 2A as they’ve been to the Fall State Tournament 9 out of the last 10 years and the Spring State Tournament the last 9 seasons.
Even last year, when both seasons were “down years” record wise, the Tigers made it to the state tournament both times and finished runner up in the Spring winning 7 straight before the finals.
It is because of that experience from last year that the Tigers look to be back in the mix again this year. Led by one of the best players in the state, Nic Tolbert, the Tigers are young, but “experienced on the biggest stage,” according to Coach Rodden.
According to Rodden, the keys to the Tigers’ success this fall will be for them to figuring out the roles in the lineup, staying healthy, and some of the younger players stepping into leadership roles.
Something tells us that will happen and expect the Tigers to be playing the 2nd weekend in October.
